We are developing two communities of practice to facilitate more research by, with, and for ethnic communities:

  1. Collaborators - research practitioners who are keen to make a difference for ethnic communities in Aotearoa New Zealand.

  2. Supporters - ethnic community groups and organisations, and ethnic community service providers, to help shape the research agenda, and commission research and evaluation to support the evidence base for policy, change, and investment.

Benefits to being a collaborator:

  • Support, contribute to, and partner with Ethnic Research Aotearoa on projects and initiatives.

  • Work with other collaborators to conduct research and evaluation that is led by, and for, ethnic communities.

  • Provide insights, and feedback, on research and evaluation, ensuring they are culturally responsive, and relevant, to diverse populations.

  • Advocate for the inclusion of underrepresented voices in research and evaluation processes.

  • Assist in the development of outreach strategies to engage with ethnic communities, and encourage participation in research activities.

  • Access to a forum to network, for professional development, and the discussion of ideas.

  • Quarterly newsletter with relevant research and evaluation events, new research, and updates on Ethnic Research Aotearoa projects.
